Painted Pink Enamel Heart Earrings
Item Description
Various neutral tones of brown with flashes of pinks on one side and the heart pattern on reverse. These striking little one of a kind beauties are made from a piece of scrap copper that my mom had given to me from my dad's workbench. Using this thicker copper sheet allows layers of vitreous enamel to build and develop abstract qualities without affecting the curve in the metal. The cutout hearts measure just over 1cm. I paired these with a brass bead from Africa and two brass discs from a collection my mom gave me. They made nice little beads and these along with the tiny glass beads that pick up some of the colours in the hearts, adds length to the earrings when wire wrapped with brass. Brass leverbacks can be swapped with sterling silver – message me for pricing. Overall length is just shy of 6cm (2.25".)
