Making Hollow Formed Beads

Making Hollow Formed Beads. Are you a bead-a-holic? This class explores making your own riveted and soldered beads using various metals including sterling, copper, brass, bronze, colored aluminum, niobium and tin. Work with textured metals and use textured hammers, metal stamps and chasing tools to create your own designs. You will learn the basics of metal forming, texturing, soldering, drilling, working with tubing, and finishing in this workshop and take home with you a variety of round beads for use in your own jewelry creations.

If possible, please bring an interesting tin can that you don't mind cutting up and using. All other tools and materials will be provided, however an optional materials list will be e-mailed prior to class for anyone who would like to bring their own tools, as some items may be limited. No experience necessary. (Material Fee: $25)
